Who it's for

How the split of responsibilities works

Every co-managed arrangement is different, so we agree the split with you at the start and write it down. A typical starting point looks like this:

AreaYour IT teamAnyIT
Day-to-day user requestsLeadsTakes the overflow, and covers when they're away
24/7 monitoring and alertsSees the alertsWatches around the clock and triages
Security tooling (MDR, endpoint, patching)Agrees policyRuns and manages
Line-of-business systems and local know-howOwnsSupports when asked

Your IT lead stays the main point of contact for your business. We agree how things are escalated in both directions, and we review the split as your needs change.

Typical scenarios

How it starts

  1. A conversation with your IT lead. We learn how things work today, what's stretched, and what they'd like help with.
  2. Free assessment. We review your environment and agree the split of responsibilities and the escalation routes.
  3. Onboarding. We set up monitoring and security tooling, gain the access we need, and document everything.
  4. Regular reviews. We check the arrangement is working and adjust it as your team or plans change.

Pricing

Co-managed support is scoped around the split you choose, so the cost depends on what we take on. We'll set it out clearly before you commit, and project work is always quoted in advance. For comparison, fully managed IT support is from £85 per seat per month, with a £400 monthly minimum. Licensing and hardware are usually extra.

Co-managed IT FAQs

Will co-managed IT replace our IT person? No. It's designed to support them, with cover, capacity and specialist skills, so they can focus on the work that matters most to your business.

Who's in charge? Your IT lead sets the priorities. We agree who owns what and how escalation works, and we write it down so everyone knows.

What happens if our IT person leaves? Because your environment is documented and we already know it, the business isn't left exposed. We can step up our share, or move you to fully managed IT if that suits you better.

How is co-managed IT priced? It depends on the split. We quote it clearly after the assessment, and project work is always quoted in advance.

Do you work with in-house teams outside Suffolk? Yes. Our on-site support is in Suffolk, and we support businesses across East Anglia and beyond with remote-first services.
